Here at The Loken Group, we believe that achieving goals isn’t about working harder—it’s about having the right plan, habits, and support. Whether you’re setting big goals for the year or refining what success looks like for you, our team is built around intentional growth.
Be honest—how are those 2026 goals going?
If you’re feeling motivated, energized, or even just curious about how to stay consistent, you’re in the right place. We asked our high-performing team members to share the simple tools and mindsets they use to turn goals into real, achievable progress.
Over the years, we’ve learned a few “tricks of the trade” that make goals more manageable and sustainable—for ourselves and for the clients we serve.
The big themes are:
-
Break it down
-
Do the activities
-
Be accountable
See how our team puts these principles into action below!
I narrow down the activity far enough such that I am confident that I can achieve that one thing for a consistent amount of time.
I start with the end in mind, then I work my way backwards to set bite-sized SMART goals to go from where I currently am to where I will end up when I hit the goal!
Write them down, do small goals to lead up to the big ones, and have someone hold you accountable. Make a vision board and post it to where you can see it.
I break out my big goals into small, daily tasks and have a VERY loyal accountability partner, my 11-year-old daughter. We use an absolutely adorable app, Finch, to complete daily tasks and call each other out when we don’t do those tasks.
I show up a little early to the office every day to allow myself time to get settled before my morning calls start.
I separate a big goal into smaller, achievable checkpoints. I also use a calendar planner on my iPad so I can see everything laid out.
- Exercise for a healthy body and mind
- Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep
- Practice scripts 3 days a week
- 1-on-1 growth sessions with my coach
- To-do lists are big for me! Fill with daily and weekly tasks with multiple categories (lead generation list, admin list, miscellaneous list, personal list etc…)
- Reverse engineer my numbers to determine the dollar amount earned per each dial! (This really helps to have a zoomed-out perspective that the dials really do matter even on days where no appts are set!)
- Be at the office as much as possible to learn from others and be surrounded by like-minded coworkers that work hard every day!
I set clear, realistic goals and break them into manageable actions. Staying organized, communicating often, and collaborating with the team helps me stay on track. Consistency and accountability are what drive results.
I set my closings goal and then work backwards from there. If my goal is X closings in a month, then I need at least X amount of appointments, which requires X amount of calls to be made.
