“Favorite date night spot is Ambriza at Towne Lake and we like the vibe it’s very Día de Los Muertos. We like to order the poblano enchilada for her and I like the carnitas plate.”
Balboa Surf Club

Houston, Texas 77056

“This is a newer elevated spot in The Galleria serving primarily fresh seafood and sushi dishes. We’ve been here a couple of times and it’s been great for groups and for date night. The ambiance is great and the service has always been friendly and attentive. They have a full bar with both great cocktail options and an extensive wine list. For food, I recommend the nigiri plate, scallop tostada, ahi tuna roll, salmon roll, the crab cake, and the swordfish. My boyfriend recommends the cheeseburger and the roasted chicken. If you’re looking to dress up a little and have a romantic evening, this is a great option! Make a reservation and if it’s not too cold you can sit outside too.”
Lomonte’s

Houston, Texas 77079

Recommended by: Erica Goff
“We love Lomonte’s! This is our special Valentine spot and has been for years! We never going during the year, only on Valentines Day. I think we might be boring because my husband and I always get the same thing every year. I get the lasagna and he gets the chicken Parmesan… so boring, but oh so good!!!! And wine…we have lots of red wine!!!”
Maggiano’s little Italy

“Great atmosphere located in the Galleria area, with piano entertainment and the food is phenomenal and decently priced! It is the perfect spot for a date night with ambient lighting!”
Uptown Sushi

“No one does sushi like Uptown Sushi. Their nigiri simply melts in your mouth, the cocktails are next level with unique flavors, and their fun spin on Japanese classics will have you wanting to order one of everything on the menu. Dare I say it’s better than Nobu, yet half the price? If you’re looking for top-notch sushi and a very cool, romantic ambiance that’s one of the best Valentine’s Day spots in Houston, this is the place to go.”
Coppa Osteria

“If you want to go all out on the carbs the Valentine’s Day, this rustic Italian spot in Rice Village is the place for you. My boyfriend and I went here last year for Valentine’s Day and it was PACKED but the food made it all worth it. We basically ate ourselves silly and here is what we ordered: first, we split a bottle of champagne and started with the Tre Burri which is their house-made rosemary focaccia paired with three different rich flavors of butter (yeah). Next, we split the Burrata Tartufo which is burrata with prosciutto truffle oil, and crostini. THEN, we moved on to splitting pizza and pasta because we just couldn’t decide. We picked the Bianca pizza and the Spaghetti Carbonara. We took a few bites and the rest came home with us. 10/10. Make a reservation and wear loose pants. Or don’t order like carb monsters but I wouldn’t recommend that strategy.”

“Nestled in the heart of Montrose, this French-inspired restaurant has seasonally rotating dishes, global wines and handcrafted cocktails. When we visited last month, we had some AMAZING oysters, along with a delicious Beef Wellington. If you are a fan of truffles, then go no further than this gem of a restaurant!”

“Truly the best restaurants in Houston for brunch, lunch, dinner, and desserts all in one. The ambiance is so pretty and green, sharing a space with a plant nursery under the shade of tall, beautiful trees. The food is always top notch, from their drinks to their pastries. And don’t get me started on their chocolate chip cookies. You can order them to your table or pick up one (or a dozen) to go at their Tiny’s Milk & Cookies location across the street. Highly recommend if you want a ‘picnic in the garden’ vibe for the perfect brunch date!”
Postino Heights

“One of our favorite date night spots in Houston is Postino. They’ve got a large selection of amazing wines and on Monday’s and Tuesday’s they have the “board and bottle” deal for $25. You get a board with 4 large pieces of bruschetta (your choice of toppings) and a bottle of wine for $25, cheap and fills you up!”
