TLG Gives, the philanthropic arm of The Loken Group with Keller Williams, began renovations for their 2018 Home Transformation this week. Renovations began on Monday, July 30 and are scheduled to be completed Friday, August 10.
The Monsivaes family, the 2018 Home Transformation beneficiary, recently suffered the loss of Paul Monsivaes, the patriarch of the family, who passed away last April due to complications following a hospital procedure. Paul is survived by his wife, Maribel, and his two sons, Paul Jr. and Ryan.
Before his passing, Paul was in the process of making repairs on the home, which was in desperate need of improvement. While some repairs were completed by Paul, many issues remain. TLG Gives is remodeling the kitchen, living room and master bathroom, as well as parts of the exterior. As of Tuesday, July 31, demolition on the exterior has finished and kitchen demolition is well under way. PODS has generously donated two storage pieces for safekeeping of the family’s belongings during renovation. Additionally, new furniture will be donated courtesy of Houston Furniture Rental and Sales.
“It’s incredible to see so many people come together and make a difference for such a deserving family,” said Ricky Wilson, Director of TLG Home Services. “Our main goal for this project is to fulfill the vision that Paul had for this home and for his family. We are absolutely thrilled to be helping his vision come to fruition.”
“I’m overwhelmed with gratitude by everything that is being done for my family,” said Sam Monsivaes, brother to the late Paul Monsivaes. “We are more appreciative than I could ever truly express for the abundance of generosity shown to us by TLG Gives.”
TLG Gives would like to thank the many benefactors who have made this project possible. Platinum sponsors include Smartzip, Houston Furniture Rental and Sales and New Balance A/C. Gold Sponsors include Movement Mortgage and First American Home Warranty. Silver Sponsors include AMCAP Mortgage and Texas Promowear. Bronze sponsors include RedFish Inspections, Purely Fresh, Pro House Inspections, Goosehead Insurance, PODS, Home Warranty of America, Old Republic, Potbelly and Halo.
TLG Gives does 2 main philanthropic outreach projects annually: The TLG Gives Angel Tree in December and the TLG Gives Home Transformation in the summer, where we surprise one deserving family in need by transforming their home, giving them peace of mind and a comfortable home environment. We take year-round donations to fund these projects in our community. To make your tax-deductible donation, donate using the link below.
