Aldine ISD

The Aldine Independent School District is a public school district based in Aldine, an unincorporated area of Harris County, Texas, United States. It serves portions of Houston and unincorporated Harris County. Aldine ISD serves the communities of Aldine, most of Greenspoint, most of East Aldine. and portions of Airline, Acres Homes, Kinwood, Bordersville, and Inwood Forest. The district is part of the taxation base for the Lone Star College System. As of August 2014, Dr. Wanda Bamberg serves as superintendent of schools.

   

Alief ISD

Alief ISD, which covers 36.6 square miles (94.8 km2) of land, covers a small portion of southwest Houston and parts of unincorporated Harris County. In Houston, Alief ISD serves the Alief community, almost all of the district of Westchase, Keegan’s Glen, Leawood, Ashford Park, Bellaire West, and Royal Oaks Country Club. It also serves a small portion of Brays Oaks. In unincorporated Harris County, Alief ISD serves Wingate, portions of the Mission Bend CDP, and Enclave Crescent Park Village . The Alief ISD area is a part of the Houston Community College System tax base.

Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) is a school district based in League City, Texas (USA). The district serves most of the Clear Lake Area and some other neighboring parts of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area. CCISD is the 29th largest school district in Texas, spanning 103 square miles and serving over 41,000 students. The district operates 44 distinct campuses, consisting of 5 full high schools, 10 intermediates, 26 elementary schools, and 3 alternative campuses

Conroe Independent School District (CISD) is a school district based in the Deane L. Sadler Administration/Technology Center in Conroe, Texas. CISD serves the cities of Conroe, Oak Ridge North, and Shenandoah, and the towns of Cut and Shoot and Woodloch. It also serves unincorporated communities in Montgomery County, including almost all of The Woodlands(extreme south and west parts of The Woodlands are located in the Tomball ISD and Magnolia ISD respectively), the settlement of Tamina, the community of River Plantation, and a portion of the Porter Heights CDP.

Crosby Independent School District is a public school district based in Crosby—an unincorporated area of northeastern Harris County, Texas (USA) within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. The district also serves very small portions of the city of Houston. For 2013 Crosby Independent School District had the highest school district tax rate in Harris County, Texas at $1.67 per $100 valuation. In 2014, Niche.com gave Crosby High School a rating of “C-” and indicated that 72% of other Texas high schools performed better on standardized tests. In 2009, the school district was rated “academically acceptable” by the Texas Education Agency

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD, often referred to as Cy-Fair) is an independent school district in northwest unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. Cy-Fair ISD is the largest Recognised school district in the state of Texas with 75 out of 78 campuses receiving an ‘Exemplary’ or ‘Recognized’ rating by the Texas Education Agency in 2010.

Fort Bend Independent School District was created by the consolidation of the Sugar Land ISD and Missouri City ISD in 1959. The school district is the seventh largest public school system in the state of Texas and third largest within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown Metropolitan Area. The school district is currently the largest employer in Fort Bend County with more than 9,000 district employees, and encompasses some of the wealthiest locales in the State of Texas.

The Houston Independent School District (HISD) is the largest public school system in Texas, and the seventh-largest in the United States. Houston ISD serves as a community school district for most of the city of Houston and several nearby and insular municipalities in addition to some unincorporated areas. Like most districts in Texas it is independent of the city of Houston and all other municipal and county jurisdictions. The district has its headquarters in the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center (HMWESC) in Houston. In 2013, the school district was rated “met standards” by the Texas Education Agency.

Klein ISD

Klein Independent School District (Klein ISD) is a school district that covers 87.5 square miles (227 km2) in Harris County, Texas, United States. Almost all of the territory is unincorporated; a small portion of Houston is within the district. In the 2014-15 school year Klein had 49,400 students, and in the 2015-2016 year, Klein ISD has 50,600 students. Klein ISD is part of the taxation base for the Lone Star College System. Dr. Jim Cain is Superintendent of Schools.

   

New Caney ISD

New Caney Independent School District (NCISD) is a public school district based in New Caney—an unincorporated area of southeastern Montgomery County, Texas (USA) within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. NCISD serves the cities of Roman Forest and Woodbranch and the minuscule Montgomery County portion of Houston. NCISD also serves the unincorporated communities of Porter and New Caney. In 2009, the school district was rated “recognized” by the Texas Education Agency.

   

Pasadena ISD

Pasadena ISD serves much of southeast Harris County. The district includes most of Pasadena, South Houston, a portion of Houston (including Genoa), and portion of Pearland. Each Pasadena ISD house or residential area is assigned to an elementary school, an intermediate school, and a high school. Some areas are assigned to fifth grade centers. Pasadena ISD now has “middle schools” that cover grades 5 and 6. In 2009, the school district was rated “State Recognized by the Texas Education Agency.

   

Sheldon ISD

Sheldon Independent School District is a public school district in unincorporated northeast Harris County, Texas (USA). The majority of the district lies in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Houston with a small portion within city limits. Sheldon ISD covers 53.5 square miles and serves several neighborhoods in the Sheldon Lake area. Administration for the district is headquartered in the Dr. Donald Ney Administration Complex with Dr. Vickey M. Giles acting as superintendent. Since the early 2000s, strong enrollment growth has driven new construction and expansions throughout the district. Nearly 7,800 students are enrolled in 2015.
