Enjoy this annual Fourth of July celebration featuring a patriotic performance by the Houston Symphony and fireworks. This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill.

The 1.3-mile parade begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.The parade begins at 9 a.m., with marching bands, fire engines, clowns, horses and floats. A tent will be set up in front of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for senior citizens and the physically challenged to obtain relief from the summer heat.

There will be an Opening Ceremony by VFW Post 9182, an Open House at the City of Katy Fire Station, and the Katy Heritage Museum, attractions and events will be available for kids and families at VFW Park. Later in the evening, the annual fireworks display will be held near Katy Mills Mall and Typhoon Texas. The fireworks, by PyroTex, are launched from the east side of the mall near Katy Fort Bend Road. This display begins at 9:00 p.m. and can be viewed from several miles around the area.
